Writing ~

I've had some health and family setbacks which have slowed my progress with the book. It has not been a totally bad thing however. I'm so new to the industry and the business side of things as well as moving from all the ideas and stories I used to tell... to learning how to actually put together a well written book. This ~ time ~ helps me step back from the book so I can better see the changes I need to make in order to make it that much better. I'm learning and growing so much and only wishing I had the energy to accomplish more faster.

At this point I don't know where Adam's Refuge will end up. I know I have had some interest in it from a small publisher (who hasn't read it yet but liked the premise).  I am still praying for God's direction and help for all the pieces to fall into place. Thank you for your prayers and support. My editor, Sally Bradley,  is helping me with the whole process. She's the greatest! One of the most talented graphic artists in the industry has agreed to do the cover art. She's so enthusiastic and supportive. She has a lot of talent and an amazing ministry. This is her website: Designer Girl Graphics.  My critique partner, Julane, is helping me so much. Here is her amazing blog: Inspiration from the Commonplace. Please continue to pray for me so I can put out the best book possible.

Reviews ~

My biggest surprise so far is The Familiar Stranger. It's wonderful and in my my top 3 books of the entire year (and I read a lot of books). Read the book - you won't regret it. :o) I also read a wonderful Regency era romance called The Bachelor's Bargain by Catherine Palmer. Don't miss Maggie Brendan's The Jewel of His Heart on the review pages or in stores. The last book in the Charles Towne Belles, The Raven Saint and Meander Scar, an unusual but very romantic book that I think you may like very much, both have pages now. There is a review for the second book in a series by Sharlene MacLaren called Maggie Rose. I know you'll want to check out her series.
