Every author needs those that inspire, challenge and entertain them. These are some of my favorite authors and their webpages.
Julie Lessman -

Julie's books actually were one of the things that pushed me to start writing again myself. She calls herself a writer on the edge. I think she is brilliant and daring. I love her characters and the realism of the relationships you get to experience between the covers of her novels. Every time I get afraid and feel like I can't do it, I think of Julie and the way I felt reading her books. I hope someday to have someone as blessed by reading something I wrote.
Kaye Dacus -

Kaye is fantastic. She is very sweet, helpful, knowledgeable, and she loves the color purple (my favorite color as well) so you know she has wonderful taste. I was so impressed with her Brides of Bonterre characters and storyline. Neither one was the expected and everyday; the characters were a little older (and yet so romantic) and the plot was one I had never read anything close to before. That's not easy to do these days. She also offered me my first autographed book to give away. Thanks, Kaye.
Carol Umberger -

Carol writes historical fiction. I love her Scottish Crown series. Getting lost in the past and having people and places come alive from thousands of years ago… It's a true gift. I know a lot of research and heart goes into her books. They are the sort of books that appeal to men and women and that you want to read over and over again.
Francine Rivers -

What stood out to me most about her books is that you could tell there isn't a story and then some verses or a scene about faith added in; her love for God is felt throughout the entire story. I also love the time periods she covers.
Max Lucado -
http://www.maxlucado.com/
What can I say about Max Lucado? I have been a fan of his since I became a Christian. Some people take the gospel and give it a bunch of complicated theological terms and labels… By the time they are done explaining; even the most basic things can seem more confusing than ever. Max has the ability to make even the most complicated things seem simple and easy to understand and apply.
MaryLu Tyndall -

There is something so fun about pirates! When I first read the back cover of The Red Siren, I was intrigued. There aren't a whole lot of books about female pirates in Christian fiction. I had to find out what it was going to be like. Her books are a wonderful escape and her site is just as imaginative. You should stop by and check it out.
Sharlene MacLaren- http://www.sharlenemaclaren.com/ Her book covers are truly beautiful and she is such a nice person too. I can't decide whether I like talking to her or reading her books more. :o) The characters she creates are memorable and the events she talks about touch you. I really and truly felt blessed to be able to share her books with people on my site.
Catherine Palmer - http://www.catherinepalmer.com/ When you read her books, she creates characters that are as real as the people next door with relationships that warm your heart and take your breath away. Then you read her website and read all about her missionary work and know where all that inspiration and warmth came from. She is wonderful.
